The event is a long standing tradition between the Wabash Rotary Club and White's residential students. Each year, all eleven of White's cottages participate in a "lip-sync" contest.

The 33rd annual Rotary/White's Christmas party was held in the White's Chapel on December 2. Prize money was awarded this year for creativity, best presentation, and audience approval. Cottage #3 earned the distinction of winning the top award of $50 to use toward their Christmas celebration. Cottage #8 won the second place prize of $30 and Cottage #9 earned third place and $20. Rotary involvement with White's students dates back to 1922 when the club began collecting and reconditioning ice skates for the children residing on the Wabash campus. According to White's records, 130 pairs of skates were collected enough for each child on campus to have their own pair. After the program, students were treated to candy and pop provided by the Rotary Club and White's CEO, Dee Gibson, was presented with a check from Rotary President, Dave Floyd for $1,100 to be divided among the cottages. Emcee for the event was Dave Mann.
